The faculty of the Washington Model OAS come from a variety of disciplines, countries, outlooks, and experiences. We are a collegial group mainly focused on providing our students with a unique learning experience while encouraging student development of research, writing, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
We also see the model as a forum for our professional development which can be as simple as sharing ideas or as complex as developing exchange programs or establishing a Model OAS program for high schools. Some faculty have attended for decades while others are new or newly returning and we welcome a broad spectrum of ideas and suggestions to improve the scholarship and operation of the Model. Faculty participation and enthusiasm is the core of the success of the Model OAS along with the support of the OAS itself.
As we prepare for the 2022 WMOAS more documents will be published in this section, including the Model’s timeline and the agenda. In the meantime, general documents about the preparation for the simulation are available for consultation.
